Don’t Be Fooled (Baby Borrowers “Recap”)
August 6, 2008
I just finished watching the last episode of Baby Borrowers, called Lesson Learned. OMG. OMG. OMG. Thats all I can really say. First thing I’ll lay on the table is the couples. Headlines from different news articles online and what Hota Kotb said herself on Mon’s episode of The Today Show, is true. All the couples have broken up. I was in shock for 2 reasons, 1.) I found out later after the last post from Mon that WE and NBC had different endings, both were saying different things on who was still with who. It was confusing to believe either. 2.) After watching this video on Youtube (click here to watch it) with Alicea and Cory from a month ago, both said they were together. I assumed they still were now. So idk why NBC and WE did that, maybe at the time they were true?idk.
2nd thing I wanna say is why did they have people submit ?s yet they didn’t really have a part of the show where questions were taken and answered from people on the forum? Maybe I missed them say it or they didn’t have time or something…but to be honest, I was looking forward so much to seeing some questions answered. A disagreement between an audience member who was against the show and the parents and creator of the show defending their opinions took awhile. The disagreement was worth it, I mean the parents and creator of Baby Borrowers were explaining how the show wasn’t just for entertainment and all. And the girls who were pregnant from Massachusests (I think it was that state) and the whole Hollywood having babies and glamourizing it, was supposed to play a part too. But, oh, what I’m really tryin to say is that I wish questions could have been answered and the teens would’ve gotten to speak more. I’m disappointed in the episode I was dying to see. Hearing the parents say their thoughts wouldn’t had been such a bad idea…I mean them and the teens did this show.
I think we spent more time hearing professionals analyze stuff and hear about stuff that sorta related to Baby Borrowers rather then hearing the people who were on the show give a chance to speak. I’m disappointed. And I really think this episode turned out to have very little of what I thought I’d see. Baby Borrowers was a good show…I really enjoyed it. But this last episode? I wish it would have turned out a little bit different than this.. Last thing to say on it is don’t be fooled. I was cuz I thought Jordan and Sasha and Alicea and Cory would be together. Thats my bad assumption though. Things happen and Im not gonna wonder why and get into personal things here. Also if any one thinks having a family is easy-watch Baby Borrowers. Don’t be fooled, things aren’t always as they seem. Anyhow, I hope everyone who participated in the show has stuff goin good for them and what not. I think they all did a good job!
Don’t Always Believe What You Hear
August 4, 2008
Well hopefully I can do this post w/o the computer messing up on me. Yesterday I came home to try and update and I couldn’t cuz the computer kept messing up and today its kinda been doing that too. So I’m crossing my fingers for this one, ‘good thing it gets saved every few seconds.
Anyhow, I did try out Maybelline Colossal and I didn’t like it. The bad reviews came true for me. I got no volume whatsoever, maybe a little lengthing. (But if I wanted lengthing I would’ve bought that kind..not volumizing.) ’Didn’t like Colossal at all and it sucked that I couldn’t get my money back. Oh well. I tried LashBlast and at least I get some volume with that. So for anyone who may want to try out Colossal, go for it b/c everyone’s lashes are different but try and buy it at the lowest price you can just in case it doesn’t work for you. Def don’t expect 9x the volume, ads on TV lie so they can get more $$$. The smell isn’t that bad, it smells like fake flowers but who sniffs mascara anyway? And so I think Colossal is OK but this just shows you shouldn’t always believe what you hear or I guess see since it was on TV.
I just finished watching Baby Borrowers on WE. I really liked it..as I do with all the episodes. This time there were old people and they gave lots of good advice from their personal experience on relationships. I think the teens bonded well with the elderly person they got. At the end of the episode it said what each person was up to now and if they were still together. Sasha and Jordan are in college i think but they “questioned their relationship and have broken up”, while Cory and Alicea are in college in different cities but are still together. Its sad that Sasha and Jordan broke up.
But thats all i can say on them or any other couple for that matter cuz I don’t know them personally. Alicea is going to school for make up which I thought was really cool cuz I love makeup too and thats one of the three things I wanna go to school for. This Wed is Town Hall Special and it’ll be where the couples reunite since the end of taping last summer and they’ll answer ?s and stuff. People can post their ?s on the messageboard before 9 on Wed. So I’m guessing it’ll be live. Anyway, ‘cant wait to see it and see what their answers will be!
I’m off to go try and get stuff done that I was doing when the computer went stupid on me.
Longest Wait in the World
July 9, 2008
Ugh!! I thought a few days ago. This is the longest wait ever!!! See, I have awhile till I get to do something I’ve been looking forward to for awhile (not gonna say what it is cuz i dont feel like it). In reality its really not that long but to me it feels that way cuz I’m the kind of person who gets anxious and I have trouble being patient when I want somethin to come. ‘Guess everyone can be that way. Luckily every Wednesday night I have Baby Borrowers to watch when I’m getting impatient or whenever I need to a break. And tonight Baby Borrowers just got juicier. LOL. ‘K, so here’s a quick recap of what I just got done watching: The teens got toddlers this time and one couple had to throw a b-day party, another was helping a toddler with potty training and ohh what else…oh yeah-one of the girls says she’s had enough of the show. First off I wanna say that this was really ironic, I was just :O b/c of it. In my 1st entry on the show and stuff (Raising a Kid at 18 post) I said that Sasha and Jordan were doing great. And they were till they had trouble with their toddler, Sasha felt so frustrated she’d cry. But she also raised her voice at the mom when the mom said her honest opinion on how they did (which was bad
) and Sasha sorta cussed her out. The other couples stood outside their home and watched as the toddler’s mom carried her son outside and left, looking “pissed” as one of them said. In a clip for next week it asks if Sasha will really leave and give up and it shows her packing her bags. Sasha looked so calm and stuff and then she let all hell break loose. Hmm..
Then Alicea and Cory did good. (Still rooting for them all the way.) Alicea had fun with her toddler and was able to “connect” with him better than with the baby. Alicea did a good job, I knew she’d pull through when the baby left. She did cry on the phone to her mom but didn’t go crazy like Sasha. So hopefully next Wednesday Sasha won’t leave. If she does, I hope Jordan gets someone to help him out-if not, good luck to him b/c next is preteens. LOL.
In movie news for me, my friend and I decided on some a shirt we’re gonna buy at the store for our movie. It’s a cute shirt and this weekend I have to go get mine. We’re gonna be dressed similar but not twins b/c we decided we wanted to be different a little too. And we’re working on other parts for our scene we’ll be doing and a few other movies. It’ll be exciting. We still gotta go through our scripts before we shoot the movies and some other stuff. Its good our scripts are short. In my music video I’m doing by myself I’m stuck on what scenes to add to it. Grr! LOL.
Hopefully the wait for something I’ve been looking forward to will fly by fast with Baby Borrowers and other stuff I’m doing to keep myself busy. I better go clean my room now, its a mess and I can’t find anything anymore!
Shopping with Stupid People
June 27, 2008
So today was part II of my weekend shopping trip. Last weekend I found shorts and this weekend I found tops. A lot of stores had sales which was good.I’m sort of shopping for the early part of the school year too. I guess I’m crazy but I really hate waiting to go school shopping till August cuz right now is the perfect time to get stuff before its all gone. There’s ways to make summer clothes last till at least the end of November if not longer. Then again I love shopping and do it often…which is why now I have to find the clothes I don’t want anymore and give them away to my sister or best friend and then to Goodwill. Thats another entry though and that’d be too boring.
Anyway, the stores were kinda crowded cuz of the sale. But it was way better than my trip to HEB on Sunday night a few weeks ago. Is this not rude? Get this: I have my music on and I’m heading towards the make up and magazines to get some stuff. Anyway, there’s this man with his 2 kids and they’re in the way. So I go around his basket and then he starts to go forward and runs over my heel. Does the loser apologize? No. You know what he said? He says to his kids, “See? This is what happens when people get in the way of Daddy’s basket.” Yeah, you read that right-I may have music on but I can still hear whats going on around me. I turned around and he clears his throat and goes around me. Like wth, right? That SOB (see Words I Always Say so you won’t misinterpret)! I hate going to the store and stupid people being in the way and then they run into you or something and don’t apologize or anything! Instead they talk crap about you like you’re not there. Now had I been a different person I would’ve done something..what? I don’t know.
Bottom line? Two things I hate about shopping:
- Workers who can’t do their job right-Please don’t stalk me around the store, if I need help I’ll say something and I do pay for what I like at stores so don’t eye me down especially if I’m in a tween store with no parent. I’m fifteen and have $$$ to buy stuff myself sometimes.
- Stupid people like that SOB (again see Words I Always Say) who are in the way and then they try and make it seem as if its your fault and most of all hurt you and don’t apologize.
Anyways, if anyone is going shopping, whether that be for clothes or groceries, watch out for these kinds of people. The 2nd reason is the worst one. This is a long rant but some stuff sorta ticks me off a little bit some days. Updates on my film (see Actress? Not Exactly… entry if you want) are coming next post!
